Dear Anne

No I don't, and despite my Christian past I'll be the last to pretend I know all about Christianity. I'll leave it to someone else to answer your question. The reason I protested the smear against Prophet Jesus is because I respect him as a Prophet of God same as I respect Moses as another Prophet of God.

I'll try to answer the second part of your question. These acts that you mentiond are all despicable acts regardless of the whether their underlying greivance is genuine or not. Regardless of where our support lies on the question of occupation and freedom we should never support the deliberate targetting of non-combatants. The perpetrators will always find some reason to justify their actions. We see that in the deliberate targetting with nuclear weapons of the citizens of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, we see that in the deliberate targetting by zionists against Palestinian civilians, we see that in the 'shock and awe' of Bush against the Iraqi nation, and we also see that in the senseless killings in Mumbai and Madrid, even if they sometimes produce a favourable result e.g the Spanish pullout from the occupation of Iraq as a consequence of the Madrid bombings. You might well ask, how then will they fight against much superior firepower? The answer is, just look at history! It has been done time and time again. God can change the equation very quickly, but deliberate targetting of civilians should be opposed by all.

Regards

Terrence
