Hello Wendy,

Islam is a religion that has been around ever since Prophet Adam. It is the religion that believes there is no god but Allah (God). It is the one religion that accepts no partners to God. He is the One and Only. He has chosen in the past, humans (prophets) to pass on His Message i.e. the Laws of life, as a guidance to all so that they can avoid wrong and stay on the path of goodness. Being good is simple - praise God, give charity, be kind to all, don't eat flesh of the swine, don't consume alcohol, fast in the holy month of ramadhan are the ways to enter Paradise, an eternal abode for those who believe.

The Torah, Gospel and Psalms are also Books from God, given to Moses, Jesus and David, respectively(Peace be upon them all). They were the revelations for the people in their time. The last of God's messengers (Muhammed Peace be upon him) was given the Quran. If you read this book, you will see for yourself that it is yet another revelation sent down as a mercy from God.

Islam is the religion that has been saying the same thing from the beginning of time. There is One God who has to be worshipped alone.

All of God's messengers were helped by God in that they possessed a special gift from Him. Jesus peace be upon him was gifted with the Holy spirit. This is why he could heal the lepers and cure the blind. He could tell what food was stored in people's homes. He could only do this through God. This did not make him the son of God.

Amongst some of his people, there became those who began admiring him when his message was plain - to worship God alone. Jesus was the son of Mary. He was a human being. Amongst his people, there were also some who rejected him (i.e. the Jews). They believed Moses was the last messenger when it is clearly stated in the Torah that another messenger was to come(Jesus). But they distort and hide the truth for personal gain in those times. Amongst his people there were also the muslims who accepted his every word and believed in him being only a messenger of God. Jesus's message was to worship God, not him. And then there were people amongst him who admired him instead of God as he was a wonderful human being with given special powers. These were the christians. They too hid many facts in the Bible, forming their own man-made testaments. This is a crime. Man cannot mix God's words together as masn is naturally prone to making mistakes.

Years later there came the last messenger, Muhammed peace be upon him. By then, Jews had formed there own religion that took Moses as their last prophet. They had tried to sacrifice Jesus peace be upon him, but by God's grace they were unable to hurt him and God saved Jesus. He did not die on the cross although muslims believe he was put on a cross. He is still alive and with God and will one day return. The believers of Jesus as the son of God (Christians) nevertheless continued praising Jesus when it was God that should have been praised. He is our Creator. He has no partners. And the Quran actually puts things right for the last time. It clearly speaks of the past events and puts blasphemous thoughts that Jesus was the son of God in the right place. It rectifies alot of problems and has perfected all defects that man alone caused.

For example, it is quite easy for humans to distort God's words for self gain or is it plain denial, as in the case of accepting homosexuality. This is forbidden yet some churches are opening their arms to it. Then there is eating swine. The bible clearly states that this meat is forbidden, yet many enjoy eating it whereas muslims continue to forbid it. Now there is the label of terrorists on muslims. The only time God wants believers to fight back is when non-believers are actually stopping them from worshipping God. War is only permissible in self-defence, and under well-defined limits. It is only to restore peace and freedom for the worship of God. By well-defined limits we mean women, children, old and inferm men should not be loested, nor trees or crops cut down, not peace withheld when the enemy comes to terms.

Islam is the religion of peace, goodwill, mutual understanding, and good faith.

Only until you read the Quran for yourself, will you understand the truth about God, this world and the Hereafter.

Islam is not the religion you think it is. It is the true religion and I pray you will have a look and see for yourself what it really is about. Don't believe the media stories. See it for yourself.

I pray you and your family find peace and guidance.
