Blind Freddy can see it has zero to do with love or compassion or mercy - any of the finer human capacities

"(O Prophet! make war on the infidels and hypocrites and deal rigorously with them. Hell shall be their abode! and wretched the passage to it."

There are muslims on this forum who really do think like that. That initially really shocked me - but it was good to learn - because now I'm aware of how twisted some of them actually are. The other ones are more apologetic and will explain 'oh, they are the bad Muslims who don't really understand Islam" etc etc. But why is it so hard to follow for them? Why so many variations of opinion. At least Christianity is absolutely clear on most thngs.

"....They deal totally with violence, instead of praying for peaceful means. Its always by force, and always assuming that everyone else is wrong, and we are the hypocrites. Shouldn't everyone be allowed to present and prove their case. To me they have not proven theirs."

To me many are both a lost cause and a dangerous threat. You can't help by arguing with them as they are convinced they are right. You have to find your own connection and stay true to that - living in the present. Flowery tales of Arabian fables are of absolutely no help to me or any other person I know.

"Then they agree with Noah and his family being saved from the great flood. Noah's wife was a believer, but not Lot's wife, who was turned into a pillar of salt."

Sura LXVL 10- God setteth forth as an example to unbelievers the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot; they were under( two of our righteous servants, )both of whom they deceived: but their husbands availed them nought against God: and it shall be said "Enter ye into the fire with those who enter.

( I found there are many contradictions, )and yet agreements with the holy bible. How very confusing this is to those who do not understand the Koran, or know the bible, I am astounded!"

The Koran (written in the 8th century AD) plagiarized tracts from the Old Testament and other scriptures from surrounding countries so of course there will be similarities. But the thing is in really crucial points - the Koran is in complete disagreement with Christianity. i.e. they say Christ never dies on the cross, that Jesus whom they call 'issa' will return to pave the way for Mohammed etc etc And the one big thing that is missing a: 'God is love'. BTW, Jesus Christ was never called 'Issa' by the Romans, Christians, Syrians, Greeks or Jews or anybody else - excpet the Muslims who arrived on the scene 700 years later.

Here's a lesson in science from the Koran I saw today on another thread:

"Hazrat Abdullah Muslem asked Muhammad (pbuh): Ya Rasul Allah! Please tell us, on what does this vast earth stand? Muhammad replied: Allah has placed this seven-layered, huge earth on the horn of a cow. This cow has four thousand such horns, and the distance from one horn to another is a journey of five hundred years. This gigantic cow is standing on the back of a giant fish. This fish is floating on glutinous water; the depth of this water is the distance of a journey of forty years. The glutinous water is resting on floating air. This air or atmosphere is resting on darkness. The darkness rests upon the Hell and that Hell is placed on a massive stone. This massive stone is resting on the head of an enormous Farishta (angel); the Farishta is standing on wind and the wind is resting on the empty world of Allah's Kudrat (glory).
So my question is; should we believe Isaiah from the "corrupt" Bible or should we believe Muhammad and the "truthful" Glorious Qur'an?"

and here's the story of a famous ex-Muslim woman - who now has a death threat on her head for exposing the truth.:
