For the readers: It is no secret that Yusuf Ali's translation is a poor and tendentious translation but it is the one that the Saudis pay for and support. But I understand that the Saudis are looking at this poor translation again after the fact that Father Zakaria Botros went after it with all his great command of the Arabic language and exposed the many mistakes in it. And here is an example by our dear Farheen who does not know any Arabic and has to read what this poor translation says and believes it and in the process he makes a fool of himself

>Qur'an translation by Abdullah Yusuf Ali......so i know what the Qur'an says...and it says that it is for the whole of humanity...for u and for me... and yes i know what 'al-nassara' means and i'am not a 'nassarite' i'am a Muslim(and i love Islam) ......... i never say anything without sufficient proof and enquiry and i think its you who needs to do the reasearching the RSV means"Revised Standard Version" of the bible in other words 'the most authentic bible" the Qur'an forbids trinity in the verse "wala takulu salasa" it means "don't say trinity"

Now notice that this is what the 1923-1924 Qur'an says

wa la taqulu thalaatha

Which I would translate as

and do not say THREE

But the Qur'an as usual does not tell us what is this THREE all about

Now Farheen is quoting the bogus translation by Yusuf Ali where he translates it as

Don't say Trinity

Which in Arabic would be

wa la taqulu al-thalooth

Or and do not say the trinity

So much for Yusuf Ali and his poor and tendentious translation but again like I say tablighees BS their way through life with lies and fabrications and it is a warning to the readers that Yusuf Ali's translation is a poor translation
