Simplistic adverserial statements do not help Islam or Muslims

Reader comment on item: Did Michael Jackson Convert to Islam?
in response to reader comment: the enemy of Islam is Islam itself.

I agree with the Grand Infidel in many of the things he says in his post, with the exception of his disingenuous representation from the Tabari texts which clearly shows malicious intent.

Hamid, you can't paint with a broad brush and say US government has ALWAYS harmed Muslims a lot. As GI says, a lot of good things have happened to Muslims in US because of US govt. Many of them have been able to get a better life and practice their religion with more freedom than they were able to do in their Muslim majority countries. I am not suggesting that US govts policies have been favourable towards Muslims, far from it.

A clean life and being able to find purpose in life can be attained by many means. e.g a practising Buddhist does it through meditation and trying to attain nirvana. I am not suggesting Islam does not show a clearly defined way to do the above.

I know for a fact that when you become a practising Jew you dont cheat, lie, gamble, drink, commit adultery, harm anybody either; and we could find other examples too. These are universal values as GI rightly points out, and not limited to just true Muslims.

< only solution to the humanity>> I don't think so, at least in majority of the instances. This area is particularly of interest to me; there are some interesting studies on this. Briefly, more most people it is an individual spiritual experience rather than any tconscious thought of humanity, which usually comes afterwards.

<> Is this the only way to become noble? Is Islam all about or just about becoming noble?

".The enemy of Islam are trying hard to harm Islam but the harder they try the more Islam spreads." Who is the enemy, my friend? Reading statements such as yours I really wonder, don't get me wrong, I don't doubt your sincerity.

So my friend Hamid, I can see your enthusiasm, but unfortunately it won't help you and it definitely won't help Islam either. When you face Him on the Day or Reckoning He will only want to know what you did. And if you really want to help Islam, try to be a good Muslim yourself and become a good witness, don't worry about making half baked and ill informed (my apologies) statements about Islam because these are not the points of differentiation. You know what is the first word of the Revelation, that is where you have to start from. And you don't spread the word of God by creating adversaries, better to just keep quiet until you have the knowledge!
