Conversion - or else

Reader comment on item: Did Michael Jackson Convert to Islam?
in response to reader comment: To Dhimmi: Universal Islam

Submitted by jennifer solis (United States), Oct 18, 2007 at 00:03

Mr. Rahman,

Why does the religion of Islam say, "convert or be punished". Does that not coerce conversion? Why does the religion of Islam feel the need to entice through punishment? Is Islam not confident people will convert of their own free will? Why does Islam resort to persecution of those who refuse to convert? -JS

P.S. If you were on the "out-side" looking "in" at Islam, would you convert? Be a part of the Muslim-on-Muslim slaughter and slavery and in-human treatment of women and poverty and Muslim-on-Muslim violence and children strapping on suicide vests to honor their Muslim parents? Would you convert?
