Dear Mr JJ,

I have read your comments and just want to add .. i agree with you that no indian would like to see his mother , sister or wife that way.. but the fact is no brother, father or husband would publicly flog some other's mother , sister or wife just because she is dressed in a way that is unacceptable to him. The truth is that religion bounds the hijab and it is used as an excuse to impose authourity over women. That is what i am objecting to. I do not have the desire to keep my wife in hijab and ogle at the bikini babes on the beach.. This would be hypocritical. What i am for is the freedom of choice.. I may not like to see my wife / mother / sister in a bikini but at the same time i will not interfere or persecute someone elses w/m/s if they wear the same.

I will share you the plight of our tennis star sania mirza.. do you know at one time she was ranked among the 30s in ATP.. where is she now ...90s??? Injuries did play a major part in her downfall.. physical injuries heal mr jj but the psychological injury made by the mullahs and radicals who issued her a fatwa for bieng improperly dressed runs deep!

Do you expect her to play tennis in a hijab? She does not play in India and even if she does she has to look over her shoulder lest one of the radicals effect the fatwa.. Some of our Muslim actors and actresses are warned not to sport hindu attires.. why is this??? i am all for decent dressing and modesty but at the same time i will also respect and individuals decision to wear a bikini or a mini skirt..

HIjab should be a voluntary affair.. but seriously do you thing in hot humid climates like ours anyone can claim to be comfortable in it??? if they choose not to wear hijab then it should not be viewed as immoral or unreligious... that is my point.. NO COMPULSION WHATSOEVER!!!

Thanks and regards,

Proud Indian
