Hi Nishi,

First , let me inform you , i am not a christian! I really want to thank youfor the amazing history lesson which you taught me .

That is precisely what i meant when i laid down the rules of debate.. Quoting Circa 1500s and the medieval times is a very good indicator that you dont have recent events ( i said in the past 50 years ) o . Doesn't it bother you that you get to read the above only in history books and that the compulsion of Hijab and the consequences of not wearing a hijab can be read as recently as yesterday?

When you yourself said that blind consumerism is the cause of potrayal of women as sex objects, making lesbian movies, pornography etc .. then why would you blame christianity for that?? I dont root for any religion nishi, Hinduism was just as bad, we all know how widows were treated , problem of untochability ( still exists in parts of India), dowry etc.. The best part is the majority change and India has made laws to punish those who follow those abhhorrent practices( people get convicted real bad ).

Problem with Islam is that the so called intellectuals and moderates ( Might be your husband ) choose to blindly accept what the book has written, Not a word against the fatwas, not a word against jehadis ( i read somewhere there was a PEACE RALLY WHERE IMAMS ISSUED FATWAS AGAINST TERRORISM, where are they now??).

Hell, ask Sania Mirza why doesnt she play in India??? Thats because in 2007 the local IMAMS put a fatwa on her head for not being properly dressed!!!! i didn't see any rallies to protest against the fatwas.. You must have read about the amazing justice the followers of the book had delivered to the woman who was raped by her father in law.. she was made to divorce her husband as she was haraam for him.. Good .. it was only after the media highlighted the issue that the father in law was arrested.

Muslims shout , riot and burn the streets in India when there is a carton drawn somewhere in the othe part of the globe. Where do they go when there are bomb blasts and terror attacks ? What happens to sensibilties & sentiments when the Hindu gods and godesses are drawn nude by a muslim painter? i am sure they must be rubbing their hands in glee , thats victory for islam ain't it?

I have seen the reactions with my own eyes, nishi ( unfortunately i live near a musilm localitiy )and i dont think i need any third party opinion ... Diwali, Holi, Ganesh Puja in my area has become tense as there are always incidents of stone throwing and the possibility of riots is always there.. why?? because precious sentiments get hurt when we take out processions and if we are too loud in our prayers!!! ( doesn't matter if a frog croacks from a loudspeaker 5 times 365 days a year) These are recent events and i dont have to dig into history books for them, all i need to do is pick up a newspaper..

Coming back to your identity..if you say what you are then i am proud that you have been provided an environment and the freedom to marry a person of your choice .. good on you.. i have yet to see any muslim marrying a hindu and converting in to hinduism.. thats not possible.. But i have seen many ashas, nishis, preetis becoming ayesha after marraige.. thats a prerequiste..your case you were lucky.. or maybe that your husband ain't a practicing muslim.. Thank god you weren't a muslim lady and wanted to marry a hindu boy!!!.. if you have a daughter then best of luck if she chooses to marry a Hindu..

with regards to Bangaluru not far away from kerala.. i agree what is a 1000kms here and there right? Doesn't matter if it is just 1.3 hours by fight and is in another state.. anyways! Your GK is definitely better than mine!!!

Next time please try something which you and me can relate too..

Thanks and regards,

Proud Indian.
