Hassan, you've drunk from the cup of delusion!

in response to reader comment: Nazia, like Sina you are attacking Islam using your own ignorance of Islam

Hassan, you once again stoop to the same old lame, pathetic, and unrealistic arguments that Muslims always resort to in these debates. We all know that the later, more violent verses in Islam supercede the earlier, more peaceful ones. We all know that in Christianity it is the exact opposite, ie the later peaceful verses abrogate the earlier violent ones. Your claim that we are misinterpreting Islam is untrue and dishonest, and those excuses have been shot down so often that any self respecting Muslim should know better than to attempt to use them in a debate.

Your understanding of the Bible is typically lacking as well.

So instead of arguing over nuances of interpetation (which you are either unable or unwilling to be honest about), let's get to the meat of the argument:

If Islam is such a peace-loving religion, then why does Islam account for over 90% of all terrorist groups? Why is Islam involved in over 90% of all wars currently taking place? Why are most Muslim countries cesspools of ignorance, poverty, hatred, and fanaticism? Why is it that no Muslim country on Earth offers as much freedom, tolerance happiness, and rights as the Western countries do? If Islam has been "hijacked" by a small minority of radicals who are "perverting" the "true" teachings of Islam, then why are the vast majority not doing anything to remove the radicals from their religion?

The problem is that the arguments Muslims typically use to defend their cult always contradict observable, demonstrable reality. Why is that?
