Assalamu alaykum

Ahmed your contrition is insincere, your post is rife with righteous indignation based on irrational and volatile sensibilities. I categorically refuse to live off the perceived laurels of an ancient civilization, certainly not to one of dubious distinction, parasitic in it's proclaimed accomplishments and its authority maintained and spread with the sharp edge of a sword. I apply my compassion to the realities of today's world and embrace the enlightened philosophy of universal rights and freedoms for all of humanity. My credo is to vociferously object to injustices under any pretext, the vilest being submission to religious promulgation in an attempt to sustain at all cost the false prestige of 1.6 billion believers.

Ahmed pray tell where do you stand vis-a-vis today's harsh realities? Like it or not the Taliban brand of Islam, it's heart and soul born out of the radicals of Pakistan, was never challenged nor a reform attempted, of this vile interpretation , by the Islamic ulema. Would it have been not worthwhile to grab the mullahs of Afghanistan by their beards and issue a few threatening fatwas to curb their madness. The atrocities in that failed society did not generate outrage on the Muslim streets not even a peep!- WHY?

The current travesties perpetuated by radical islamists has become the scourge of the 21st century. Why the indifference by the Muslim ummah to, for example, the atrocities of Sudan's orchestrated genocide, Somalia's spiral into total anarchy, the ever spiralling blood-letting of Sunni on Shi'a and on others . The butchery of indegenous Hindus in Indian kashmir simply because your brethern should not suffer the indignity of living in a democratic, secular, pluralist society goverened by the rule of law.-WHY?

Ahmed turning a blind eye, a deaf ear and a mute voice to the revival of radical {pure} Islam and its obession with the implementation of shar'ia at all cost is shameful and complacent to a violence of koranic proportions. Tolerating the intolerable, forgiving the unforgivable, justifying the unjustifiable as long as the ‘correct' book is being read is criminal. The result is giving a blessing to abject intolerance to religious minorities living in those theocratic enclaves and to continue to hide behind indifference and dissafection and simply washing your hands of the blood stains is shameful. Do you not hear the cries of the most vulnerable in those societies, why the deafening silence on the Muslim streets-WHY ...... in the name of Allah {swt} ......WHY?

If indeed one will have to atone for their sins on judgement day I fear many will be in for a rude awakening, when the sins of omission are itemized.
