Reader comment on item: Recruiting Soldiers Against Radical Islam
in response to reader comment: Radical muslims are real muslims, moderate muslims are infidels.

N. Khan, you wrote with such eloquence about Islam : " ....keep insisting that true islam is hijacked by terrorists who interpret Quran differently and practice Radical Islam. Nothing can be farther from the truth. Quran is very clear . No interpretation is actually required. Quran says over 40 times:

"Obey Allah, Obey Mohammed"

It also says "Mohammed is your role model" and "Follow Mohammed to follow Allah"

Thus Quran elevates hadiths and Siras to Quran itself. What Mohammed did in his life is true Islam. The only source to know what he did in his life are hadiths and siras written by faithful believers and his desciples. According those sources Mohammed earned livlihood through robbery and raids, he committed genocides,he raided for booty and killed innocents in his raids, he captured wives and daughters of those he raided and had sex with them and whoever doubted him or criticized him he had them asassinated. That is islam . Anything less is apostacy. Quran called the so called moderate muslims who did not fully agree with Mohammed's tactics as hippocrites and called for their deaths (4.89)

Dr Pipes ,you may call them moderate muslims. True islam considers them infidels to be killed by islamic way of beheading."

Can any one else make it more clear than what N. Khan wrote here?? I think not. Then why is it our leaders, experts, academia, and lastly mainstream media do not get it. Why is it so difficult for them to accept the truth about Islam ? It is so clear from the violent life story of Mohammad and the violent teachings in the Medina passages of Quran? The basis of Muslim behavior in Quran - and yet we choose to ignore it!!!

Why do these apologists in the West keep looking for "moderate" Muslim/Islam and keep hoping these mythical persons will salvage their religion from the so called radicals. Moderate Muslims, if they exist, are not considered Muslims by the real Muslims all over the world. And if for a moment we assume that the majority of Muslims are moderates, as told to us by our own President and the host of experts, then why is it they (moderates) cannot do anything to control or ostracize the radicals?

The sad fact is almost all Muslims are controlled by imams, mullahs, ayatollahs, and any other religious authority in the community. Muslims will follow their orders blindly without a question. And here is a sixty four thousand dollar question - are any of these imams moderates?? The answer is a resounding, "No". In that case how would anyone expect the majority of Muslims to be moderates. It is just not possible for Muslims to defy their imams, as we see from their behavior all over the world.

The sooner we tell the truth about Islam for what it is, the sooner we will learn to deal with it. The myth of moderate Islam/Mulsim has not produced any peaceful resolution of conflicts with Islam in the past, nor will it in the future.
