There are no such thing called Moderate Muslims.

Reader comment on item: Recruiting Soldiers Against Radical Islam

I am a native egyptian, decendent of the pharaohs.

I lived around 35 years in different muslim countries and all my life among muslims, and I am telling you from my personal experience that there are no such thing called moderate muslims.

The Quran - muslims holy book - says that the world is dividend into 2 parts:

1) a land of islam, where islam manage the people life and force non-muslims to convert or top leave, and

2) a land of war, where these countries should be invaded to force it to accept islam.

Someone will ask me, why this was not on action before. It is simple.

Muslims for the first time from many centuries have a lot of money and power:

- there are independent states in the Arab World and Asia,

- oil prices have been rocketing up high since 1973,

- more muslims are getting education and can travel.

What we might consider as moderate muslims are considered traitors and non-muslims (atheists or whatever) but the fidel muslims.

Muslims according to their book have to treat badly the non-muslims (push them) either morally or physically till they convert to islam.

A clear example from 1400 years (imagine from 1400 years islam did not change):

- Egypt was a 100% christian state and was invaded by the Arab Muslims around year 700 ac.

- After invading Egypt, they obliged all christians to pay double taxes (this is our history). If you as christian could not pay the double taxes, you have one of 2 choices :

1) to convert to islam, so you can pay normal taxes.

2) to be killed by the sword in public.

So you do not really have many choices.

After decades of torture and abuse of christians in Egypt, Christians now represent only around 10% of the country, ie between 7-10 million residents.

A new wave of abuse against christians has started since 30-40 years. Around 2-3 million christian egyptians has immigrated from egypt during the last decades to europe, us, canada and australia.

The remaining are on the waiting list to emigrate from the country.

From my own experience there are no moderate muslims or moderate governments.

Maybe if secular states are established in the middle east, there will be hope, otherwise, it is hell.
