in response to reader comment: Our dear Hassan aka Pierre al-tablighee and his bogus command of history

"dhimi no more" in his poor ability to comprehend or grasp the arguments of his opponents said: "Your are ignorant of the landscape of the Middle East. almost all Christians were Jacobites/Monphysites (eg: Copts and Syrians) or they were Melkites (Mlk in Syriac and Malaki in Arabic) and this was the Greek imperial Chruch and then we have the Nestorians who resided and still reside in today's Iraq and Iran so your diatribes against Catholics are just another sign of your poor education, and yes, spare me the drama and there was hardly any "Catholics" in the Middle East in the 9th century when these translations took place."

That above comment just manifest how poor he is in the art of comprehending the arguments of an opponent in a debate! I never said in my previous comments that there exists Roman Catholics in the east, let alone a possible candidate to be commissioned by Muslims to translate the works of the pagan greeks!

What i am saying is not that there is a Roman Catholics in the east as a possible competitor of the eastern churches, such as nestorians or jacobites during the translations of greek into arabic, but what i am trying to point out is christian Europeans/roman catholics (because there was not yet protestants at that time) had no contribution at all in salvaging/saving the knowledege of the ancients how much more in developing these knowledge in actual application!

It is very clear in all of my arguments that i am just contrasting the christian west or europe and Islam during the medieval period, that 's what i am triyng to point out is that Islam is a indeed a kind of religion which is definitely not allergic or not fond of seeking scientific knowledge or science, but rather a great contributor of science and advance civilization, bragged by many of the modern christians, including europeans as just the achievements of christianity only!

In other words, the so called contention among modern christians now that Muslims are barbaric, ignorants and no contribution in scientific advancement and civilization is just baseless and no truth value in it. But rather it should be said that what we have achieved now in science and advanced civilization is being initiated and paved by the Muslims and being continued by the christian europe after the decline of Islamic Golden Age due to internal quarrel and christian conquest!

It just happened that Muslims are just the first after the ancient pagan philosophers to develop scientific knowledge and the art of experimentation and inquiries on one hand, and at the latest victims of conquest and colonialization on the other hand! That is the clear lesson in history which "dhimmi no more" seems to not know!
