Reader comment on item: Recruiting Soldiers Against Radical Islam
in response to reader comment: Our dear Hassan aka Pierre al-tablighee and his bogus command of history

Submitted by Hassan Pierre Arceno (Philippines), Apr 19, 2007 at 07:01

Because he cannot get my point easily, "dhimmi no more" said: "It is very clear to me that you really do not understand the historical concept of the "transmission" of historical documents and shame on your poor education for again pontificating about a subject that you do not know."

Because he is poor in comprehension with bogus command in history, "dhimmi no more" is then trying to point out that it was the eastern christians such as nestorians, jacobites etc who were the transmitters of knowledge during the 7th to 11th centuries, not the Muslims particularly the Arabs!!! He just simply want to portray the Arabs as nothing!

If dhimmi no more is right, why then there was no any famous works of eastern christians translated by the Muslims along with the ancient works of pagans, in contrast to how the then ignorant europeans or people in the west translated both the works of muslim scholars/scientist side by side with ancient works of the greeks that leads europe from dark ages to renaissance? What we can conclude then is that the eastern christians just never burned the books of the pagans but just kept them, but never study them and they were just translators for the muslim scholars to study and develop the scientific knowledge!

Anyway, i do not argue for the Arabs here but for Islam and Muslims in general. Taken for granted that no Arab scientists that time as what dhimmi no more want to argue, at least those scientists at that time who developed and expanded the primitive knowledge of the greeks are muslims and that is my main point! I want to emphasize here that it is because of the sublime teachings of Islam that the ancient knowledge were saved from being totally lost and were being developed and improved, only then to be appropriated later on by the arrogant west! But the truth is that there are also Arab scientists such as ibn al-Haitam, ibn al-Kindi, ibn Tahir al-Baghdadi, al-Jazari, ibn Sinan, ibn Rush, al Mawardi, al-Jayyani and a lot more to mention, as history bears witness!

"dhimmi no more" just does not want Muslims or Islam to have a very important contribution in our present civilization, which is only ignorants who will behave like that!

Anyway "dhimmi no more" is a poorly educated fellow who pretends as knowledgeable and master in arabic lanuage! By the wa,y why you know Arabic? Are you assuming like the scientist of medieval europeans who studied Arabic just to translate and study the scientific achievements of Muslims? shame on you!
