Democracy to Theocratic Dictatorship

Reader comment on item: [The Hamas electoral victory:] Democracy's bitter fruit
in response to reader comment: hamas won the election now we have to find ways to communicate

Here is my prediction, these "barbarians" will initially have a "democracy". I put this in quotes because I dont think that the democracy will last. Without the proper education anyways, the democracy is useless. It will fall into the hands of the powerful lobyists and extremists.

It is my prediction that slowly (or even rapidly) the Hamas state will collapse into civil war, war with Israel, and become a dictatorship-much like in Iran or pre-war Iraq. Neither countries were peaceful, and Hamas will be neither peaceful or stable.

At least now, there is a face to direct blame. The palestinian state can be eliminated rather quickly be either the US or Israel if it needs to be done. Hopefully they know this, as demonstrated by our Iraq wars, and will not attack because of this. If they choose to attack anyways, that just gives us an excuse for military tactics.
