RESPONSE TO HAMAS

Reader comment on item: [The Hamas Electoral Victory:] Democracy's Bitter Fruit

Submitted by DONVAN (United States), Jan 27, 2006 at 10:44

The election of Hamas plays into a strategy of "Give 'em enough rope and they will hang themselves". Hamas and Iran have both fell for the bait of the West. No rational person believes that Islam has the means or motive to moderate or become "democratic".
We now have in both Iran and Hamas consolidated politically and geographically.

Entities which are more, ironically, easier to eliminate. From a military point of view, targeting a political movement is impossible. Targeting a obviously hostile nation state is what they do. Iran and now the "Palestinians" have painted a bullseye on themselves.
The phoney "Peace process" is now in pieces on the ground. Thank you Hamas.

You are now not some shadowy movement with belicose retoric, but we now have your address. We know where you live. Unfortunately, the people who put them is power will pay the price.
Welcome to democracy.
