Your comparison of the Hamas election to the German election of 1933 is, I think, brilliantly apt.

Our challenge is to deal with it. If the thirties are a valid comparison, the path for us to avoid is isolationism. It is fascinating at this time to see that France, with support from PM Merkel of Germany has threatend nuclear force. Chirac is determined not to emulate Neville Chamberlain, unlike the US media and pseudo intellectual left.
