11 not 10 wives

the messenger of Allah had 11 wives but not at one time. Having a wife means responsibility in ISlam. its not just about sex. its about taking care of women who are widowed and give them protection. Adultary is forbidden but marriage is about taking care and providing shelter to women.

The other thing is there is no restriction on the number of marriages in any past religon like jews, christians hidus its just the government has passed a law about the restiction to one marriage in the western world and india. Moreover there are number of earlier prophets who had more thn one wife like Jacob, Ibrahim, solomon, etc. but in the Quran it says if you are not sure about that you can treat your wives equally stcik to one wife.
