There is a common method of interpreting or translating the Bible by those who do not believe it. And that method is being used by Sohail. That method is very simple, just quote a portion of a scripture or part of an idea and pretend that the complete statement, principle or idea has been expressed. Let's look at Jeremiah 8:8: "How can you say we are wise, for we have the law of the Lord, when actually the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely"? So here is Sohail's wisdom, the scribes were copying lies, having forgotten the requirements of copying the Torah, but at least they were honest about it and admitted they were lying. Therefore, Sohail uses the Biblical accusation against false lying scribes as evidence that the Bible itself is false. Do you find that common in your society Sohail, your people admitting that they are lying whenever they do so?

The last book of the Old Testament was written at least 400 BC. Christians and Jews believe that God inspired the writing and the translation of the Bible. Interestingly enough, all the translations including ancient documents are the same except for minor differences of little significance. A wise man like you Sohail, must have heard of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Those Scrolls were deposited in a cave over 2000 years ago and discovered around 1950's and who knows how old the documents are? Do you get the picture Sohail? Those Scrolls were deposited in the caves over 600 years before Muhammad began reciting. In spite of the age of the Scrolls, the portion of the Old Testament that is available is identical to the current Hebrew Old Testament.

Yet you would have us believe that an illiterate Muhammad memorized sayings from Gabriel and recited them to his friends who occasionally wrote them down on animal skins, tree bark and animal bones and they are far more authentic than any Bible. The Bible was authored by many different writers, yet remarkably the theme is consistent. Let me quote you a scripture from the Bible: 2 Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by the inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." The Holy Qur'an on the other hand, is a mish mash of ideas and a confusion of thoughts. Are you at all familiar with the protocol of Hebrews copying the Bible? A copy of a scroll was made letter by letter, (not word by word) then verified by another expert. If even one mistake was made in copying, the entire page was destroyed and the copying started over.

In fact, document copiers apprenticed for several years before they qualified to copy documents on their own. In closing, I will make this statement. When I write something, I'm prepared to provide proof to verify its' authenticity. When you write something, its' correct because you said so, or you take authentic scriptures out of context and thus no more proof is required. My faith forbids me from lying, and yours encourages you to lie when you find it useful.
