Reader comment on item: [Pew Poll on] How Muslims Think
in response to reader comment: Christians and the media are the problem

Submitted by Iblis (United States), Jun 28, 2006 at 14:44

"Christians are the problem because all of them think are God's chosen people, so most christians believe that other religions like Islam is wrong and try to prove Islam wrong by criticzing The koran, Allah and the prophet. this angers some Muslims to respond by using violence or other Muslims who say the west are liars and will all go to hell."

Salaam Nawab. First... Christians do not claim to be the "chosen people." That claim has been a cornerstone of Judaism. Besides, all religions think the others are wrong, but only Islam through the Quran and the various Hadiths encourage the destruction and death of non-believers. You do not find this in Christianity, Judaism, or any other major religions. Most religions will proclaim a "live and let live" doctrine.

Yes, while there are those who attempt to convert, that is a very small minority. Even so, except during the various inquisitions, which was declared on all non-Catholics, death is not the result of non-conversion as is the case in Islam.

Next, you are not following in the true path if you believe that violence is the proper response to criticism of Islam, the Quran, Allah (pbuh). The proper response is to educate those who do not know, not behead them or firebomb their offices. ... Ma'a Salaama Iblis
