Sahaad, I'm completely amazed at your statement that "the war verses in the Qur'an are misunderstood by most people". Please note that the new mantra for Muslims when confronted by provocative Ayas which are stated in the Qur'an, is that "they are taken out of context". Please repeat , "they are taken out of context".

Here are a couple of examples:

For instance if an Infidel such as myself presents the following Aya to you:

[5.60] Say: "Shall I point out to you something much worse than this, (as judged) by the treatment it received from Allah those who incurred the curse of Allah and His wrath, those of whom some He transformed into apes and swine, those who worshipped evil; - these are (many times) worse in rank, and far more astray from the even path!"

Your response should be; "You are taking it out of context".

And if I quote the following Aya to you and ask for an explanation:

Qur'an 9:5 "Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war."

Again your response should be; "You are taking it out of context".

Please consider how foolish it is to say that infidels misunderstand. Many of us are well educated and have studied the Qur'an and Hadiths, so don't tell us that we don't understand. However if you tell us we are taking them "out of context", we no longer have a sustainable argument.

Should you follow my suggestion, you will find that Infidels such as myself will be defenseless when we try to reveal these otherwise simple and obnoxious Ayas.
