the fact that you said that your friends are not practicing muslim would be a slap in their faces if you said that to them, which you most likely didnt. let me clear things up for you. what a person does is for that person no matter if it bomb ,killing, rape and person will do what he or she wants. G-d gave man free will. many jews and christian do the wrong thing one is no better then the other, a sin is a sin. a good muslim is to obey the laws of the land. so if they are abiding by the laws of the land or government then they are indeed good and great muslim people.
