Quran is not "miraculous."

Reader comment on item: Islamophobia?

What makes the Quran a "miracle"? ...

It drags the achievments of Christ's teachings back into the darkest times. Forgiveness of tresspassing is replaced with doctrines of war and vengance. There is no golden rule to be found in the Quran. The "love of God" is reserved strictly for Muslims, the unbelievers being hated. Allah doesn't love all of humanity according to the Quran. The verses that seem to suggest charity and brotherhood towards mankind, are really in their context references of attitudes on how Muslims should treat other Muslims (i.e "your brother). The so-called "people of the book" were allowed to live and practice their faiths only under the condition that they pay the Muslim poll tax and that they do not practice their religion in public. Later when Muhammed's mood changes from Medina and Mecca - and once he realizes the Jews were not going to accept his claims - he provided tons of hate inciting verses commanding Muslims to kill all unbelievers.

Yeah, a lot of "love and tolerance" to be found in the Quran, huh?
