But what about the Houses of the Brotherhood?

Reader comment on item: Islamophobia?

Submitted by Mark-Alan Whittle (Canada), Oct 25, 2005 at 14:51

If all this is true of moderate, progressive Islam, what about the fundamentalistic Muslim organizations in Canada, such as the Canadian Islamic Congress? Would they not be a militant force to be reckoned with if there was a Holy Jihad?

The President of the CIC has ties to Islamists in Egypt, yet Dr. Elmasry is a Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Waterloo, a place where students are taught about the middle east. How on earth could Elmasry be impartial, being a Sharia religious Law Arbitrator for over 25 years? Sharia is a usurious fundamentalistic Islamic Muslim ideology.

Once the first suicide bomb goes off, maybe the Government of Canada will start walking the walk on Radical Islam and organizations like the CIC, instead of talking the talk, allowing men like Elmasry to continue promoting radical Islam in Canada.
