Reader comment on item: Islamophobia?

Sher Mohammed ...In fact you rely upon the fact that most Jews and Christians have not read the Koran.

The truth is, in the Koran, Jews and Christians are referred to as the People of the Book. In some portions of the Koran there are no threats being made, yet in other portions what is written is very clear and it is very threatening. In other words the Koran states that Jews and Christians are the Infidel, and that those who do not convert from amongst the Kafur must die.

The historical evidence shows that Islam is not a religion of peace. In fact those who did not covert were killed, and sometimes these killings were extremely ruthless, especially if the people were Jews. It was the Muslims who attacked Jerusalem and killed tens of thousands of Jews before the Pope sent aid to the Holy Land in the form of the Crusades. The Crusaders came to restore the land to the rightful owners - and those owners were not Muslim.

Islamic apologists, including well meaning dhimmi left wing journalists, have attempted to change the historical record through revisionism. However, such attempts will continue to fail because the documents that belong tot he people of the time stand as a condemnation of what is claimed to be a religion of peace, when in fact it is a religion that is responsible for the spread of widespread terror.
