Reader comment on item: Islamophobia?

...All this stuff you're making up, people, about Islam and the Quraan and Muhammad (peace and blessings of God be upon him) are so disturbing. You're taking out verses of the Holy Quran WITHOUT their context. You're trying to make people think badly of "the greatest man to ever live on Earth". How could you call the Prophet, the man who brought peace to a region that knew nothing but wars, a man who stopped the killing of daughters, and did so many more greater things... WHAT are your sources?

In case you can't see it, all this anti-Islam and hateful messages you're spreading around, it all shows nothing but jealousy. Yes, jealousy. I got no clue what exactly you're jealous of: Is it the fact that most of us, Muslims, are more religious than the rest? us Muslims being so happy to be Muslim? I dunno what exactly it is but I can just sense jealousy.

And I also wanna know.... Are Muslims really the only ones left out there who respect others' religions, prophets and Holy texts? When we speak of Jesus or Moses (peace and blessings of God be upon them both) we do so respectfully. We respect the Bible and the Torah. We believe in them. We in fact believe in all the messengers and Holy texts. Why can't you do the same thing?

You wanna criticize Usama or some other so-called Muslim, fine -go ahead. We, Muslims, criticize them too. But don't blame Islam when you know nothing about it. Or you do, but you totally twist the facts.

Please everyone, talk as much as you want about "Muslims" ---but DO respect religion and faith. Quraan is my Holy book. In it I find peace of mind. In it I find a source of pleasure when I'm feeling low. It is my means to better myself when I read the included discriptions of the Prophets and the rightous people. Most importantly, it is my motivation to keep on moving, keep on working, when I forget the reason I'm here.

Quraan does not tell me to kill the disbelievers, on the contrary, it tells me to try to guide them and respect their freedom to choose the religion they want.
Quraan does not tell me to go to war, but rather to look for the peaceful solution, and if non-existant, then I should defend myself but not be the one to begin the offence.
Quraan tells me to respect my parents and honor them.
Quraan tells me to be generous and giving and honest and LOVING..

How could that possibly make me wanna kill others? ...
