Ms Randa, you're another fairy-tale muslim making an innocent mistake.

Reader comment on item: Islamophobia?

I refer to the weblog submitted by Ms. Randa Ali dated November 03, 2005 at 10:05 and her subsequent replies to fellow webloggers.

Miss Randa, from your several entries, I'd reckon that you are a good human being living in a safe environment, born into a muslim family. You claim that you are a proud muslim and it is unfortunate that "muslims of today are not true muslims as real islam is"

You also encouraged us to "read carefully in holy QURAN and SERA (story of prophet mohamed pbuh and his fellows) in early days of islam."

You know what? I used to regard Islam as a world religion. A religion that promotes goodness for mankind. I was against President Bush when he attacked Afghanistan and the Iraq. However, I began to read the Quran and the Hadiths to get a balanced view. I come to conclude that Islam has a very dark origin. Muslims believe in a god that purposely create human beings, pre-destined them to be believers and non-believers, set veils on non-muslims so that they cannot hear and see the truth, led the non-believers astray, and then orders the muslims to kill or convert all infidels wherever they may find them. All non-believers all destined to suffer eternal hell-fire from the day they were born and muslims get rewarded with 72 perpetual virgins if they kill infidels. Yes, my dear Miss Randa, it's all in the Qaran. As for you, being a muslimah, your reward in heaven is to continue to be the wife of your husband (sharing the houris with him).

What I can conclude from you is that you're one of those "fairy-tale muslims" I believe that you fall into the larger majority of people within any society who is peace-loving and tries to be a good neighbour. If you were born into a Christian family, you will become a good Christian as well. I'm confident that you look upon Allah, as you god, reverently and you messenger with high regard. Therefore, you would "award" all good attributed to your prophet. Generous, charitable, patient, charismatic, loving, etc.

The reason why I made the conclusion is that you have made one innocent mistake. You asked us to read the Quran where you yourself have not done so. Because, if you really have read the Quran, you would not ask us to read it. It's not a magical and hypnotic book that will charm us. It's full of grammatical mistakes and words of utter nonsense with no order whatsoever. More importantly, your Quran is replete with vengeful and hateful messages.

Allow me to share a few verses of your Quran with you:

Quran: Surah 2: The Cow

Verse 6: Don't bother to warn the disbelievers. Allah has blinded them. Theirs will be an awful doom.

Verse 191: Kill disbelievers wherever you find them.

Verse 216: War is ordained by Allah.

Your prophet was a pedophile, rapist, war-monger and a dictator. Visit www.faithfreedom.org and try to disprove Dr. Ali Sina's propositions.

You claim that the Islamist terrorists are not real muslims because they kill innocent people. Well, we learnt that they are very religious people that can quote Quranic verses better than most of us. They die because of Allah.

If you believe that they are not real muslims, can you please tell me which Quranic verses that they have broken? Because, I can give you more than 200 verses that they have fulfilled by killing innocent people.

No doubt, most muslims are peaceful people, that because you don't read and follow the Quran. The world's enemy is not muslims. It is Islam. It is the ideology of hate and evil.

Miss Randa, I understand that you want to defend your faith and your people. I respect that. However, please use facts. Please don't make statements that cannot be substantiated. Please read the Quran. Don't just read the "attributes" of the Quran. It can be very misleading.
