all of you that are against islam and the liberation women receive via islam need to open your eyes it is fine if you think a woman's freedom lies in her stripping herself infront of random men on beaches, clubs and magazines but yet when a woman treats her body as her own and covers it up is wrong... especially if she is a muslm woman!!

when you see a covered nun you respect her as a woman of god yet when a muslim woman observing hijab and not becoming prey to the sexual desires of random men (yes most rape cases ocur when men are sexually provoked and most rapest claim "she was asking for it" becaus of the "free" women that abuse their bodies and degrade themselves in front of men in skimpy clothes) you thin shes oppressed.

if you want to know the position of women in islam ASK THEM! they will tell you how they are the queens of their own mind and body. you think musim women are oppressed; dont forget we were the first women to receve equal position to men

islam was the first order that allowed women a right to education

a right to inheritance

a righ to their own earning and run their own businesses

a right to seek divorce

a righ to speak in public and politcal matters

a right to vote ..among many ther firsts

islam has a dress code of modesty for both men and women. if muslim women are oppressed why dont we share our views??? probably because we are happier where we are: in a place where we make our own minds, decide for ourseves and not follow the status quo. are we complaining about women and you girls roaming the streets half naked in the name of fashion.

i am so sorry that i and other muslim women choose to respect ourselfs. everyone has a freedom of choice, i choose to cover my body and others may choose to display it. i dont have to agree with it but they can do what they want but let me do what i want. you dont have to agree with it but respect my choice. just like you respect a covered nun as a follower of god, respect my decision to cover myself as a follower of god.
