Muslims stacking the deck by playing the race card

Reader comment on item: Anti-Muslim Racism?

Submitted by Ben van de Polder (United States), Nov 28, 2005 at 11:02

Dr. Pipes has once again exposed Islamist obfuscation by claiming anti Muslim racism when they are not a race to begin with. That Muslim claims are widely accepted, and used as the basis for groups like CAIR to campaign for 'civil rights'- brings to mind the persistence of the myth of the Aryan race, who were in fact proto Indo Europeans.

Just as a look at the squat darkhaired Hitler would have caused one to doubt the existence of a 'blonde blue eyed Aryan race' so too will a simple look at the facts (and a dictionary) show that Muslims are not a race and cannot claim discrimination on that basis.

Both the Islamofacists and the Nazis used the idea of a mythical racial origin as proof of superiority and need for elimination of existing groups to create 'lebensraum'.

It's time people rejected the claims of anti Muslim racism as a perfidious ploy aimed to portray Muslims as victims, when the opposite is the case.
