Reader comment on item: Anti-Muslim Racism?

Submitted by Vishnu Gupta (India), Nov 26, 2005 at 03:04

Quite in keeping with the history of Islamism from its inception. The most intolerant dogma on earth, giving others bad names on alien turf too? The charges cannot stick, but the methodology is fascinating! It hasn't strayed one bit from the earliest days. Why, in their own countries, they just shoot the dissenters and get on with it, right? No name calling, they keep it pure and simple.

I think, this is truly incredible, but they do honestly believe in themselves and their brazen actions. Just one example, from the ordinary Muslima for whom we all shed copious terms: What could be more provocative than wearing the heavy shroud in cultures that are free or have freed themselves after a long struggle? What is more attention getting, and isolationist?

We feel sorry for them, but it will not stop them from producing and inculcating jihadis and suicide bombers in the name of Shahadat or something else equally convenient. They will choose to shout at us and go on reiterating how Islam liberates women. Locked into their narrow world of unbending and unquestionable dogma, they don't waste any time on ordinary human emotions.

It is our mistake to attribute the same to them, despite all the historical evidence that would take us many lives to digest. And indoctrinating women in host cultures, by hook or by crook, is their first line of offence. Appealing undeservedly to the sense of fair play assiduously nurtured in host cultures is the other. They are canny enough to exploit every chink in the armour, every weak link, every loophole. The rest can only follow... That is, execute terror most vicious, and paralyze the opponent. Then take cover under all the rights offered by the law of the land. Buy time, until public opinion is fractured and societies are weakened from within.

Appeal to the heart, to illogic, to appeasement, and when the time comes, strike and strike terror. They proclaim themselves loudly as perpetrators, owning responsibility for indefensible acts, and then wage long court battles to seek acquittal on technical grounds. They make a mockery of democratic institutions in our face, in what is a very simple and dishonest strategy implemented uniformly all over the world. We must continue to acomodate them, genuflect to a terrorist dogma on the altar of religious freedom, and submit, submit, submit....

So we're all racist, and they're the pious ones. It is up to us who we choose to believe, but time's running out....
Submitting....
