Excuse for saying this but.....

Reader comment on item: Anti-Muslim Racism?

Submitted by Asd (Italy), Jun 1, 2008 at 09:22

...people were deceived by a minority group of believers to think they are a majority, it happened to me once.

Some people told us once of a group of muslim haters in America and the west and the way they emphasized on the attrocity of their deeds, we believed everyone in those countries hate us which is pretty much why Arabs1 hate the US till today, but i've been to these countries and people were really nice, didn't care what religion you follow but the person you are, so unless you've been to one of those islamic countries or had contact with people from there you can't judge nations on so few sources.

Having said that, doesn't mean non-islamic countries are being religious-discrimination-free2. A perfect counter-example of Al-Ahram newspaper is the publishing offending images of Mohammed (Peace be upon him) that was considered offensive to muslims and the religion of islam.

1. I use this term specifically, because you have referenced middle eastern countries and forgot about east Asian and African countries that are islamic.

2. Racism is a wrong definition of the stuation since religion is not a race
