Fundamentalist?Reader comment on item: Europe vs. America Submitted by Frank Vosler (United States), Jan 14, 2003 at 15:04 Dr. Pipes,I agree with commenter Orestis Lindermayer that the Christian fundamentalist element in the United States keeps us ideologically distinct from Europe. However, as one of those fundamentalists, I do not agree that "Europe is AntiChrist". Rather, most of these fundamentalists are pre-millennialists and hold that the Roman empire must be reconstructed geographically and be ruled by the AntiChrist who will be an identifiable individual.
