As usual : France and Europe against the USA

Daniel Pipes' comments are once again right on the mark. France has always resented US success. From the Communists to De Gaulle, the journal Le Monde and just about the entire French media one hears and has heard a never ending attack on the great US democracy, the dollar(although they were quick to accept US aid in the Marshall plan) the English language, US liberalism etc...

One wonders why US leaders continue with the fiction that Europe is an American ally? The continent after all has contributed : the Spanish Inquisition, the Holocaust and various other genocides, two world wars, Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, Le Pen, Haider...

American leaders should reassess where their interests lie.
