Third Party PoliticsReader comment on item: Europe vs. America Submitted by Phil Valenti (United States), Jan 15, 2003 at 23:19 When the United States became the only super power on the planet, it became clear to the rest of the world that a new dynamic was needed in order to keep a balance of power. Europe's reaction and opposition to many of the United States' positions is a reflection of this new stage in world politics. The only problem is that they are playing third party politics. The idea may sound great, but they are only weakening that which should be their main concern -- freedom and democracy in a very dangerous world.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
