We're all in this togetherReader comment on item: Europe vs. America Submitted by Richard Rice (United Kingdom), Jan 14, 2003 at 07:18 When it comes to the war on terrorism, there is no doubt we are all in this together. Consider the ongoing arrests in UK, France and Germany. What some of us have difficulty seeing is the link between Islamic extremists and the regime in Iraq - if an invasion happens and Al-Qaeda manages to launch an attack in the West, at that point then many muslims everywhere will rejoice - at least judging by comments by some Muslims in Britain. So the US and Britain will be playing into the fundamentalists' hands. By reducing our reliance on oil and developing green technologies we could stop funding these fanatics.
