America vs Europe? The basic difference.Reader comment on item: Europe vs. America Submitted by Seth R Bailey (United States), Jun 24, 2007 at 16:38 I have met and fallen in love with a European woman, we plan to get married, and so we have many discussions about the differences between our two cultures. In all our conversations and arguments I have consistently seen a recurring theme. The greatest difference between the cultures we 'root" for is that the USA has the "Balls" to stand up for what it believes in. It seems from evidence on the world stage and from ideas and philosophies I have been exposed to from her, that I can only come to this conclusion: Europe will never( despite all it's loud blabbing ) do anything to stop America (or any other nation for that matter ) from doing what it (Europe) perceives to be wrong and harmful. Now an absolute moral right and wrong has always been debated, but being able to stand up your beliefs in word and action is the quintessential difference between the two cultures. If one analyzes the pitfalls and prosperities of America vs. Europe in the past it adds up to this— America will bleed and die for its beliefs. Europe won't even allow itself to suffer an socio-economic paper-cut. She throws up her hands in disbelief about how her social system is failing and there are no masses of future generations to pay her way, socialized systems only work with a society to support them. That requires families, which requires marriages, which requires men, which requires "BALLS." Because of their ambiguous nature toward beliefs systems, and secular ideas being the reigning sentiment,: families and marriages ( the foundations of society) are on the decline. One of the main reasons she was so attracted to me was the fact that I had the actual ability to define myself, my desires, my beliefs in absolute terms. She is surrounded by "men" who don't have the testicular fortitude to even stand up for how they feel about the women they "love" let alone their belief systems. I guess you could say fundamentally the difference between America and Europe is "Balls." The balls to make it on our own, not the governments, steam and the balls to stand, live, and die for our beliefs. There are two great forces of belief systems that its people are willing to stand up and die for in the world today, America and the Islamic Radical Terror State. One is right one is wrong. Both are engaged in conflict and one will eventually win. It would seem all the "Ball-less" Europeans can do is sit idley by behind their desks and talk big as their society suffers the ramifications of its "superior" ideas, all the while waiting to be conquered by whoever emerges as the victor on the world stage. The New Eroupean Republic of Iran,... that does have a nice ring to it doesn't it? I am sure it will be a peaceful place!!!!
