The American "Dream" is just that... a dream...Reader comment on item: Europe vs. America Submitted by Stephen (Japan), Aug 3, 2008 at 07:25 I experienced far more racism, social exclusion and discrimination in the United States than in any European country. American mulitculturalism is an idea, but that's all it is. That's why it's called the American "Dream", it's not a reality. You'll find much more social cohesion in London than you would in New York or L.A. Although ironically, the biggest threat to our unity at the moment is the rebellious hip-hop culture especially in the British Afro-Caribbean population (of which I am a part).
