forced population relocation = war crime !!!!Reader comment on item: How Israel Can Win Submitted by Philistine (Canada), Jul 28, 2006 at 22:50 I find it quite disturbing to be in favour of forced population relocation. The war crimes perpetrated in the past do not justify for such actions to be carried out again. You mentioned, amongst others, the deportation of the more than 1 million Asia Minor Greeks. Nice example !!! This action combined with the Armenian Genocide (recognized by most west coutries but not by Israel nor the US, if I am not mistaken), the killings of the Pontian Greeks and persecution of Asia Minor Assyrians allowed modern Turkey to get rid of its Christian population (Greek, Armenian & Assyrian). This Christian population was aboriginal of Asia Minor while the Turks, originating from central Asia, moved into Asia Minor in successive waves starting in the 9th century of our era. Does Israel intend to follow Turkey's example ?? Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
