Jews have long history in arab world

Reader comment on item: How Israel Can Win
in response to reader comment: Take a more enlightened view

There are two main facts that all of the Palestinian apologists try to ignore regarding the Jews in Palestine. The first is that the majority of Jews in Israel fall into one of three groups: Arab Jews, the children of Arab Jews, and the grandchildren of Arab Jews. In other words, individuals who already lived in that part of the world, and their decendants. These are people who would be there whether a state of Israel existed or not.

The second important fact, one which even most of the Israeli Left choses to ignore, is that these Jews were forced out of their homes when Israel was created. These Jews are from places like Cairo, Tangiers, Baghdad, and Terhan. They were treated as less than human when they lived in these places.

I don't see any of the Arab nations offering these Arab Jews the right of return with full political rights. Nor do I see any of these nations offering to compenstate these jews for the losses they suffered when they were displaced.
