War without endReader comment on item: How Israel Can Win Submitted by Rebecca Bynum (United States), Apr 6, 2006 at 07:48 While I agree that Israel must wage a robust war, but I don't share your inclination to think that war will ever actually end and I wonder about your last bullet point about Israel not having to take on the entire Muslim world. I think we will be in a state of endless, permanent conflict unless or until Islam is completely destroyed. Of course I don't see us doing that (at least short-term), but I do see us containing Islam and dealing with the Muslim world as a hostile bloc. I think that has to be step one for American foreign policy - Israel will follow in alignment along with other states as their predicament becomes clearer. We should have been doing everything possible to get Russia and/or China on board - looks like its too late with Russia already. Beware the red (communism) green (Islam) alliance. Perhaps it's inevitable.I worry about Israel getting thrown to the wolves in the wider conflict. Look what happened to Finland during WWII. That's what I worry about. The pressure will only build on Western leaders to appease Islamic forces and the big piece in their hands is Israel.
