How Israel can win

Ironically, I think the election of Hamas will be good for Israel. In one hand it showed through feelings of the Palestinians and in the other hand if the Western Powers stick to their word and refrain from helping the new government in Palestine, Hamas will have to resort either to force and disruption of the Israeli people lives or come to some sort of terms with Israel which will be de facto recognition of Israel.

If it chooses the first path, then the Israelis will hopefully destroy their resistance capability to wage anothe war of atrition and thereby they will be forced to pursue peace. In the unlikely event that they come to their senses and decide to make peace with Israel, their credentials as staunch enemy of Israel will allow them to do so without being accused of a sell out.
