Bilal - you have a fine memory for ancient history but a selective memory for recent eventsReader comment on item: How Israel Can Win Submitted by sully (United States), Apr 12, 2006 at 09:10 You refer back to slavery that ended in the Western World in the 1800's and choose to ignore slavery that went on well into the 20th century in Muslim countries.More egregiously you refer to the halting of Serb attacks on Muslims without referring to the fact that "the Great Satan" put a stop to those attacks. Then, after displaying your memory of an event from the 1400's, you place faith in China and India as reservoirs of support for Islam without taking congnizance of recent Chinese actions against the Falun Gong and ongoing actions against it's Muslim minorities, and without mention of the great ethnic cleansing that took place less than 70 years ago when India and Pakistan split. Finally, you misread me as stating that a coalition of powers would be necessary to set back Islam. In point of fact little Israel can alone inflict a massive demographic setback on all Muslim countries within several hundred miles of its borders. Israel (and many other nations) are restrained only by prudential considerations and moral qualms, both of which can all too easily be swept aside if it comes to fear that it cannot assure its continued existence with conventional arms.
