Reader comment on item: How Israel Can Win

Submitted by Hilary Lind (Ukraine), Apr 4, 2006 at 15:27

Well said! Several things you said struck me as quite observant and insightful yet it was your final paragraph which prompted a simple thought: What would the Palestinian Arabs look like as a people in ten years if they took all the energy, creativity, resources, time, money, effort and passion, and focused it not on the destruction of Israel, but rather on building and making better their own polity, economy, society and culture?

It is easier to kill something than it is to nuture it to maturity and fruition. I would wager that even if Israel was destroyed, the Palestinian Arabs would, on the whole, be no better off.
