How Israel Can't Win

Reader comment on item: How Israel Can Win

Submitted by Blackspeare (United States), Apr 4, 2006 at 21:50

The original 1947 partition of the area named Palestine called for the creation of a Jewish State, a Palestinian state, and an internationalized Jerusalem. I guess it looked and sounded good for a few days back then. However. we all know what happened and in 58 years nothing has really changed in the political sense.

Remember the Arabs said they had a secret weapon back in 1948----"Time." And they used it well. Now do the Arab Muslims really hate Jews. I don't think so-----they are half cousins! What they hate is Israel----an entity created in their neighborhood and upon what they perceive and claim is Muslim land. There are too many Arabs for Israel to win as a sovereign state----the time may be on hand to look at the "One State Solution" with Israel as an autonomous area within an Arab country. With a one state solution almost everybody wins and the bloodshed stops. Now let me take cover!!!
