Daniel Pipes, again, makes too much sense. Too many people, institutions and organizations in the West are aligned--for various reasons--neither with victory nor defeat. Consequently, the failure to align is a long, slow, tacit surrender that plays out over time in incremental installments. Nothing will reverse that process until we are pushed to make a collective decision to either fight seriously, or fully surrender.
