Reader comment on item: Christianity Dying in Its Birthplace
in response to reader comment: Two sides of coin

Mr. Tripathi, you took my words out of context. I never said you hate Christians, please read my response again. All I said was "If you have something against Christianity, it is O.K." . I don't know what is in your mind - whether you hate Christians or not was not the point; what I wanted to point out was your erroneous assumption (without any proof whatsoever) that Mr. Stains molested an Indian woman. This vicious story was spread before the trial by the Hindu fanatics to cover up their heinous crime.
Say for arguments sake, that it was true. Then was the punishment to be burnt alive while sleeping O.K. with you? What of the two children? what crime had they committed? In the inquiry it was found that all three tried to escape the fire but were pushed back into the van by the Hindu mob. How could you sit there and try to justify the heinous crime - leave religion aside, look at it from a human point of view.
What you have to take into account is that Christianity is a missionary religion. Christians are asked to witness the good news of Christ. They do go and preach & perfom good deeds and if one wants to convert, that is left to them, no one has been forced to become a Christian. No Christian is blowing themselves up, or murdering people who are non-Christians. All Christian missionaries do is the spread the word of Christ & be of service to humanity, they don't use terror.
I have always respected & admired the secular status of India and it being the largest democracy; even today the President a Muslim, the Prime-minister a Sikh, the leader of the largest political party a woman, a foreigner, and a Catholic. This bodes well for India and has the admiration of the world.
We will never ever see anything like this in a Muslim majority country. That is one reason the Hindu extremists should be stopped from damaging the good name of India around the world. Then all of us; freedom loving peoples of the world, could all join together to get rid of the evil ideology of Islam from our midst.
