in response to reader comment: one less dhimmi

Sully stated:

"The artfully constructed rationalizations put forth by Muslims in the comment chain indicate that not even the self considered "good Muslims" are working in any practical way to change this disgraceful state of affairs"

Response:

The "artfully constructed rationalizations" are put forth to make a positive attempt to remove some misconceptions and to see if some of the commentators here will begin to make a distinction between Islam as a faith and Islamism and will stop stereotyping and over-generalizing the Muslims. It seems to be quite a futile effort, so these "artfully constructed rationalizations" will need to stop soon.

Sully, only words can be typed to convey a message on this discussion website, which is actually designed for people to comment on articles. There are a lot of good things going on in real life, but the evil is the one that makes the news as it is dramatic and grabs one's attention quickly. It is much easier to destroy a bridge than to construct one.

So it is with building bridges between people. And it is quite discouraging to the one extending one's hand if the hand is rejected on account of suspicions, historical events that may not have been recorded accurately or may never have happened, and the deeds to others with whom one has absolutely no association.
