Reader comment on item: Christianity Dying in Its Birthplace

Submitted by Elpi Nipni (United States), Sep 14, 2005 at 20:02

I recently watched a Palestinian movie by the name: "Divine Intervention". The movie demonstrates in a very clear way the state of mind of the palestinian toward Christians and Jews in the holy land, in fact the state of mind of Muslim in general. Israel is a microcosmos and the rest of the world is the macrocosmos of the same issue. The fate of Israel is the fate the world. as long as we keep a deaf ears to what the Muslim say, day in and day out. As long as the Government in the U.S. talking from both sides of its mouth, nothing will change and the fate of our western civilization's is sealed. Anti Semitism is the reason for the deterioration in the status of Christianity in its birthplace. I am afraid it is almost a lost battle.
Christians Churches who lay a claim to to the land of Israel, are short sighted in regard to the threats of Islam. They hope that the destruction will bring them close to their claim.
Many books have been written about Islam, stating that Islam is a religion of peace, for the sole reason of attackin ths Church, and that is the source of the great misconception wich was instilled in the psyche of the west. We cannot shake it off inspite the fact that Muslims themselves declaring in deeds that is completely the opposite.
Thank you, Elpi Nipni
