Another Response to A.B. (Rape is a CRIME!!!)

My Response:

A.B., I think you misunderstood me. In Islam, rape is a punishable crime! So there is absolutely NO sanctioning of rape of this terrible crime in Islam! The Islam I know does not even condone fornication no matter how consensual it may be, let alone condone and sanction rape! This is preposterous!

If you really wish to know the meaning of these verses, I refer you to Muhammad Asad's commentary on the Qur`an.

But you are entitled to hold your views and consider Muhammad whatever you like. It's merely a reflection of your own inner state.
