Reader comment on item: [Fixing] Islam's Image Problem

Submitted by Why Don't You Just Be a Proud Christian? (United States), Jan 6, 2006 at 02:27

a 5 word description of the Christian Religion's history. From a point of view other than that of a devout Christian, this would have looked like a rapid and bloody spread of sickness across the world. That is if they don't take a blind eye to facts for whatever reason.

Few religions have, in the name of their god, spread their religion in a violent and widespread way as Christians. And why not? according to Luke, Jesus is apparently ok with slaying those who choose not to believe in him.

I mean I can understand a Christian acknowledging everything I am saying and just say that it has spread the true word of God at the expense of devil driven heathens, Amen. But, why try to deny it and make it look like it was spread with flowers and hugs. PLEASE.

Not saying Muslims are any better. Just saying...
